Bernie Sanders may no longer be running for president himself, but the senator from Vermont plans to stay very involved in the campaign, almost like a "progressive coach" of sorts for presumptive Democratic nominee Joe Biden.

Donald Trump has promised to cut US funding from the World Health Organization (WHO) over a supposedly lax response to the novel coronavirus outbreak, but the head of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has praised his agency's ongoing relationship with the WHO.

On Wednesday, Sen. Elizabeth Warren, who previously competed in the Democratic primary, endorsed former vice president Joe Biden in a tweeted video message, and stated she was “proud” to do so.

Contrary to Donald Trump’s claims, the outgoing Obama administration left the National Strategic Stockpile fully stocked and ready to supply the nation in the face of the public health crisis like a pandemic.

That's according to a variety of public health professionals and others who foresee a longer road ahead to bring the country--and the world--back to normal.

Although House Democrats are planning legislation to establish a nonpartisan commission intended to study the federal response to the outbreak of the novel coronavirus, in the meantime House committees have begun their own investigations into the government's response to the crisis.
