ABC News host George Stephanopoulos announced that he is apparently an asymptomatic victim of COVID-19, having tested positive after his wife became a victim beforehand.

Stephanopoulos’ wife, actress Ali Wentworth, had become a COVID-19 victim, suffering a variety of the symptoms which have become well-known with the illness.

As she’s recovered, Stephanopoulos said on-air on the ABC morning program Good Morning America, that his test result came back.

“In fact, she’s going on her fifth day now with no fever which is really a great sign. Slowly getting out of bed a little bit more each day. So we’re really happy about that,” said Stephanopoulos, who was a Democratic strategist before becoming a TV journalist. “And I also learned over the weekend that my test came back positive for COVID as well, which is really no surprise given that I’ve been here for a couple of weeks, but I’m one of those, I guess, cases that are basically asymptomatic.

“I’ve never had a fever, never had chills, never had a headache, never had a cough, never had shortness of breath,” he said. “I’m feeling great.”
